Good Time by Ranky Tanky, from Charleston, SC, won the Best Regional Roots Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards (2020). Over the past three years, Gullah music, a centuries-old sound from the South Carolina Lowcountry region, has entered the mainstream. That's largely thanks to Ranky Tanky, an effervescent quintet, who've become global ambassadors of Gullah music and culture.
