He found a producer and partner-in-grime in adept cinematic psychedelicist Frank Maston, who instinctively understood these songs would fall apart if scrubbed too sternly in the studio. Instead, they worked gently but intently to amplify the strange and mysterious sound of Siadatians wobbly hissy L.A. born home tapes, borrowing drummers (the Allah-Las Matthew Correia and hes-everywhere! man Nick Murray (recently spotted with White Fence and Thee Oh Sees) as well as summoning synthesizer and flute for the subtle extraterrestrial orchestration on I Didnt Know A Thing and the positively celestial Heaven In Farsi.
